Multiplayer Night! Nuclear Dawn! Tomorrow!

Highwang and I are going to be doing some multiplayer night tomorrow for the drunk night. That means we want you guys to take part as well for more fun! If you have a computer good enough to play Nuclear Dawn basically you just need to be able to run Source engine games, then come into the chat or contact us on Steam! I have some guest passes, and I think Highwang has some as well, so we can get a few more of you into the game. At least six.

This early announcement is so you can get it installed and things before we actually play it.

This all hinges on whether or not Highwang can stream the game, so uh, wait until he responds to this thread with an affirmative I guess.

TPR’s Shitty Art Contest

In honor of TPR receiving a 300k scoville hot sauce from a friend, he wants to run an art contest. Your mission is simple.

Draw a picture using any means available to you Paint, Photoshop, Gimp, Pen, Paper of TPR taking a shit after drinking the hot sauce. It doesn’t have to be a comic or anything, the main thing is that you imagine what a shit would be like after using extremely spicy hot sauce, and then draw TPR taking said shit. That’s all. It doesn’t have to be AMAZING ARTWORK, it just has to be funny. If all you have is Paint, you still have a chance to win.

You might ask yourself, why would you draw such a disgusting picture? Well, the winner gets a $60 or less game of their choice on Steam. That’s a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Submit your entries as links in this thread, and the winner will be chosen sometime this coming Sunday.

Most importantly, have fun!

Edit: And the winner is… Highwang! With an honorable mention to Jacki.

Seawee’s 24 hour stream has begun!

Oh goodness, Seawee will be streaming for 24 hours! Here is a list of games that he will be open to stream, but feel free to suggest some more to him in the chat or in this here thread!

Games:
Megaman 2
Phoenix Wright
World of Warcraft
Pokemon Red
Binding of Isaac
Minecraft
Portal
Portal 2
Left 4 Dead 2
League of Legends
Team Fortress 2

Again, feel free to suggest more! We can update here.

Edit: And it ended early because Seawee got called in to work! Maybe next time!

TwitchTV archive back again!

So, one thing that wasn’t included with the new stream section was a way to view the archive from TwitchTV. You know, the archive that only lasts for about 7 days but is available immediately and automatically after everyone finishes streaming? Good for catching up, watching reruns, all that.

Well anyway, if you click the Twitch link next to the streamer you’d like to check out, it’ll take you to a page that shows you their TwitchTV archived streams, as well as all the other unclaimed archive videos below it. Neat, huh?

STREAMERS: In order to claim these archive videos, copy/paste the claim id# if there are two, just copy/paste both of them as they are with the space in between, then go to your list of streams to find and click the corresponding stream/event, edit the embed type to be “TwitchTV” and paste the ID number into the box next to it. That links the two together so people can find your streams much more easily from the TwitchTV archive. I know it’s kind of a pain right now, but eventually I’ll code in the ability to click some things to claim it and all that.

Not that anyone cares, I’ll just keep updating things all by my lonesome!

Edit: Well, I actually went through and made the claim button so it’s easier for streamers to claim their streams. Just click Claim, the system will look for a stream that starts at about the same time, and if it finds one you just click claim, and done. If it doesn’t you’ll have to do it manually, unfortunately. Still, easier if you’re doing things right around here.

Finally redid the video archive section!

I have finally patched up the new stream archive section that I was working on enough for it to replace the older version. This new one is based on events from the schedule, so anytime a streamer adds an event to the schedule, it’ll show up in their archive list after they do that stream.

Streamers can’t modify their older streams yet, so they won’t be able to say what games they played or link a Viddler/Youtube video to them. That’s just temporary, however, as it is on my to-do list for this section.

There are also some bugs in the system that I can’t figure out just yet, like some of the games in the dropdown filter list won’t show you their corresponding streams properly, but I’m working on that.

Anyway, should be a neat little section once everything is up and going. Let me know what you think.

Edit: Streamers can now modify their old streams from the stream list by clicking on the title box.

Happy New Year! no Kuoushi stream tonight

So, unfortunately there won’t be a Kuoushi stream tonight to bring in the New Year as I most likely won’t be near my computer. However that shouldn’t stop you guys from celebrating the event on your own or with your families! I know you were just waiting to hang out with Kuoushi when the clock strikes midnight tonight so you’re probably disappointed, but hey, according to the schedule Highwang might be streaming! I hear kuoushi.com is the premiere site for Highwang streams, as it is.

Also, I think I fixed the ticker finally. It should work properly for all timezones and not have any weird length errors. Let me know of any bugs that you find.

Merry Christmas! Fixed some bugs in the forums

Hope everyone had a good Christmas yesterday. The stream was pretty fun, and I think we ended up giving away 25 games and packages. Not bad for our little stream. Hope everyone ended up with something they like.

Anyway, had a chance to look through some of my forum code and fixed posting threads up a bit. For some reason people who weren’t me hence why I didn’t notice and no one ever reported it couldn’t post new threads. Also some of the poll related stuff was broken in Firefox. That should all be fixed, so post away!

If you feel like posting, anyway.

Edit: Oh, and I also just added something you might have noticed at the top there. It’s kind of like a stream ticker. It will show you what’s coming up in the next 3 hours, without having to click the schedule! It also auto-updates every 2 minutes, so you if you’re sitting on the site you’ll be kept up to date and everything.
